Gaynell was the third daughter born to Lewis E. Reed and Dovie Gaye Newsom. She was welcomed to the family on March 4, 1956, at Freeport Hospital. She attended Stephen F. Austin Elementary, Freeport Junior High and Brazosport High School. She has lived in California for the past 35 years where she worked in national sales for several companies selling fork-lifts. She had a host of friends all over the world. She was welcomed into Heaven on September 1, 2015, by her parents; brother, Lewis E Reed Jr.; and sister, Martha Baker.

Her surviving siblings are Charlene Broussard, of Georgetown, TX, Wayne and Betty Berry, of Lake Jackson, Cynthia and Jasper Thomas, of Jones Creek, and Charles and Michelle Reed of Angleton.

A celebration of Gaynell's life will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Hope Fellowship Church on Lake Road in Lake Jackson, Texas.

I just learned about Gaynells passing. I had sent her happy birthday wishes and didn't hear back from her. I am so sorry for your loss... She was such a great person and I am so glad I had a chance to know her and have her as part of my life. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
