Terrance Leroy Veach, "Rocky", 75 of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed on to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on November 2, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Friends may visit from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Lake Jackson, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Friday, November 6, 2015, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Pedro Lopez officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers Keith Veach, Arley Veach, Loren Veach, Herbert Markwardt, Calvin Markwardt, Dave Goodson, and Floyd Hamlett.

Rocky was born to Donald and Arvada Veach on May 21, 1940, in West Providence, Pennsylvania. He excelled in academics and mechanics at a very early age. He enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 17, where he served his country as an Aircraft Jet Engine Mechanic.

In 1961, he went to work for BASF Corporation where he designed instruments and control panels for the Engineering Department. He was admired and respected by his colleagues for his dedication to quality and his outstanding leadership for more than 30 years.

Rocky was an avid pilot, designer, and artist. His favorite pass-time was designing and building things in his shop, including his favorite sport plane. He also enjoyed nature, world history, and traveling.

Rocky was a loving family man, our teacher, and our friend. He leaves behind a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of 51 years; daughter Terry Fuller (and Roy Pitts); granddaughter Amanda Fuller (and Jason Byrd) and great-grandson Ryder Byrd. He has 2 sisters, Kay Veach Fitzgerald and Audrey Veach Stull (and Dave) of Pennsylvania; and, 3 brothers Keith (and Mary) Veach, Loren (and Sharon) Veach, and Arley (and Louise) Veach of Pennsylvania.

Our thoughts are with you and regret that we are not with you. We are all so glad that we got to see Terry last year and will always have those memories. Thank you so much for that, Terry Lynn. Love you all so much and remembering the good times.

I was sorry to hear about Uncle Terry. I remember when we visited and he took us up in a plane, how exciting that was. Although I haven't seen you all in many years my mom has kept me posted on how everyone has been. I have fond memories of visiting you. (Terri Lynn was a very cool cousin!) My condolences. Lori
