Eva Nell "Nellie" Sublett Frey
October 10, 1933 November 12, 2015

Eva Nell "Nellie" Sublett Frey, 82, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed into the arms of her Jesus on November 12, 2015.

Eva Nell was born in Clarendon, Texas, to John Odes Sublett and Ora Lucille Speir Sublett both of whom preceded her in death. She spent her early years in McAllen, Texas until she met her beloved husband, Stanley Arthur Frey. They moved to Anchorage, Alaska, for two years where Eva Nell enjoyed the snow and the cold weather. After returning to McAllen for a short time, they moved to Lake Jackson where they lived for over fifty years.

Of most importance to Eva Nell was her precious Jesus. She asked everyone she met whether they had given their heart to the Lord and whether they were living for Jesus. She loved to read her Bible and had much of it committed to memory especially her favorite, Psalm 91. Believing completely in the power of prayer, Eva Nell was a prayer warrior. She interceded daily for her family and friends.

She enjoyed playing games and was an expert at every type from bridge to Nintendo. Eva Nell enjoyed challenging computer games and loved to play Nintendo with her grandsons.

Eva Nell's memory lives in the hearts of her husband, Stanley Arthur Frey, her son and daughter-in-law, Stanley A. Frey, Jr. and Diane Frey, her daughter and son-in-law, Karen Nell Frey Belcher and Mark Belcher, her grandsons, Joshua Frey, Jonathan Frey and his wife, Misty Frey, Daniel Belcher, Andrew Belcher and his wife, Kayla Belcher, James Yancy Belcher and her great-granddaughter, Kaylee Marie Jackson.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel from 3:00 until 5:00pm. Services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 2:00pm at Lakewood Funeral Chapel.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua David Frey, Jonathan Michael Frey, Mark Daniel Belcher, Andrew John Belcher, and James Yancy Belcher.

What a beautiful, precious and Godly woman. It was my honor to meet her many years ago. Her love of our Savior Jesus has guided many to His saving grace. She set a magnificent example of how to live in Christ. Prayers for the family during the grieving, and Praise to our Lord Jesus for his love and mercy.
