Margie was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She met, Joe, her husband of 68 years at a USO dance. When Margie graduated from high school she and Joe married directly after on May 26, 1944. During World War II they lived in California and Washington State. After the war they moved to Toledo, Ohio before moving back to Texas and then to Lake Jackson in 1957.

Margie was a devout Catholic and lived that in her life by bearing 12 children. She was blessed to have raised 11 to adulthood. She was a very strong, determined, frugal woman and she had a very sweet nature. Margie passed on to all of her family her love of good home cooked meals. She loved traveling and we are sure that her heart is full with her recent voyage to heaven and her Jesus. "My Jesus is my strength and my shield in whom my heart trusted and my heart rejoices; Ps 28,7".

Pallbearers will be Margie's grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Margie's caregivers Irene Garcia, Marty Melendez, Hortencia Betancourt.
