Maria Eligia Horn, 62, of Richwood, went home to Jesus on January 23, 2016, after passing unexpectedly.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, 98 North Dixie Drive, Lake Jackson , Texas, with Pastor Greg Pickering officiating.

She was born on May 18, 1953, in Victoria, Texas, to Alfred and Delfina Garcia. She grew up in Victoria, Texas. She graduated from Stroman High School in Victoria, Texas , in 1973. Shortly after high school , she married the love of her life, Mitcheal Horn , in 1973, in Victoria, Texas. They were happily married for 42 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Delfina Garcia; sons, Mitcheal Horn Jr. , and Dominic Horn.

Maria is survived by her husband, Mitcheal Horn, of Richwood; her daughter, Ayisha Hawkins, of Lake Jackson; precious granddaughter, Mia Hawkins; and a host of close friends.
