Janette Lee Hughes

Janette "Gee Gee" Hughes was born August 21, 1947 to Jack Odom Brown and Billie Louise Rhodes Brown in Freeport, Texas. She passed away July 23, 2018 peacefully at home surrounded by loving family after a two year battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, William "Bill" and Margaret Hughes; and three brothers-in-law. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, William John Hughes; sons, Jake (Nancy) Hughes and Marcus (Telia) Hughes; grandchildren, Hannah Gibson, Madison, Brooklyn and Ryan Hughes; great-grandson, Ryder Gibson; brother, Jack Alan (Tonia) Brown; sisters, Barbara Stroud and Bonnie Green; brother-in-law, Richard (Melody) Hughes; sister-in-law, Linda Bruce; also numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who loved and were so loved by Janette, their "Gee Gee". Per family request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any animal shelter or Brazoria County SPCA.
