Dawn Michaele Winters

After a long battle with cancer, Dawn Michaele (Pistole) Winters, 54, of Brazoria was called home Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018. She was born November 11, 1963 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Gilbert and Sherron (Capers) Pistole. She graduated from Richard King High School of Corpus Christi. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from LeTourneau College with a Bachelor's Degree. Dawn's true love were her sons. She was a homemaker until they left for school, then active volunteering, substitute teaching, and teaching as they grew. She loved teaching and was active 9 years in BISD. Dawn loved water and fishing, starting with Corpus Christi beaches, then the San Bernard River, and Hill Country lakes. She was talented, enjoying ceramics, creating homemade gifts, vegetable gardening, and painting rocks. Giving many of these away gave her much joy. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents; Gilbert T. Pistole and Sherron (Capers) Pistole, brother, Charlie Pistole and niece Jennifer Ireland. Survivors include husband, Barron Vincent; son, Scott Winters and Aleia Slack; son, Guy Winters, of Brazoria, stepdaughter; Kaylee Gomez, husband Ezequiel, of Hutto, sister; Coni Pistole Robertson, husband Audie, of Atascocita; brother Tommy Pistole, wife Lizzie of Richmond; sister Shannon Pistole Williams, husband Jamie of Corpus Christi; brother Henry Pistole, wife Nikki of Lake Jackson and numerous loved nieces and nephews Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept 12, 2018 at Lakewood Chapel. Funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 at Lakewood Chapel with Pastor Lynne Settlemyre officiating. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Scott Winters, Guy Winters, Robbie Robertson, Jacob Pistole, Eric Zeien and Andre Ulmer Honorary pall bearers are Audie Robertson, Tommy Pistole, Jamie Williams, Henry Pistole, David Ireland, Jon Trimble, Daniel Martin, Billy Duchaney, Casey Atnip, and Michael Walker
