Memorial services for Carolyn Morton, age 66, of Lake Jackson, TX will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Second Baptist Church 201 Garland Dr, Lake Jackson, TX. Officiated by Gary Thornton
Carolyn passed away December 19, 2023. She was born in Falfurrias, TX on July 3, 1957. She was a lifelong resident of Brazoria County and graduated from Brazoswood in 1975.
Carolyn had a lifelong compassion for animals especially her Yorkies. She was a dedicated collector of antiques and novelty items throughout the years. She enjoyed reality TV including ''The Voice''. She had a love of old movies including The Wizard of Oz, one of her absolute favorites, which she enjoyed rewatching.
Carolyn is survived by husband, Steven Morton, sisters, Jo Lynne Roye and Shannon Schreiber, brother, Smokey Roye, sons, Lyle and Chad Ponton, step-daughters, Alecia LaSalle and Shelly Morton. Grandson, Ryder Ponton, and many step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and others that cared for her very much.
Carolyn was preceded in death by grandmother, Josephine Roye parents William Roye and Betty Hiroms and sister, Sharon Buell.
