Howard "Bubba" O'Neil Stringer

Howard "Bubba" O'Neil Stringer passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2015, in Lake Jackson, Texas, at the age of 60. He was born on March 20, 1955, in Houston, Texas, to John Stringer and Dorothy Dill West.


Howard is survived by his two children, Amy Stringer Henderson and her husband, Ryan Henderson, of Lake Jackson, TX, and Jared Stringer and fiancée, Misty McCarty and her daughter, Zoei Goldsmith, of Beaumont, TX; two grandchildren, Courtney Danford and Maxwell Henderson; his brother, John Stringer and his wife, Terry Stringer, of Clute, TX, and Keith Stringer, of Pearland, TX.


He was preceded in death by his parents, John Stringer and Dorothy Dill West; and his brother, William Stringer.


He served in the United States Navy before he moved to Clute, TX, in 1977, to work for The Dow Chemical Company as an operator. He retired from Dow in 2005. Since then he has enjoyed his time playing golf with his buddies and spending time with his grandchildren.


A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Lake Jackson, Texas. All are welcome to attend.
