Daniel Waylond Ward

Daniel W. Ward was born on October 23, 1963, in Freeport, Texas, to Norman and Christine Ward. He passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015.

Daniel graduated from Brazosport High School in 1983. He worked for Brazoria County Precinct 1 and was a former fire chief for Jones Creek Volunteer Fire Dept where he was still a current volunteer firefighter. He also worked with many volunteer fire departments in Angleton, Clute, Jones Creek and Freeport for 30 years. He is and will always be remembered and surrounded by his family and friends.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Christine Ward.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Brenda Ward; his daughters, Hollie Wood (husband, Adam), Melisa Ward, and Cortnie Ward; and his granddaughter, Lorelei Wood; also his sisters, Norma Jean Durso (husband, Pepper), Patsy Ward, Suzanne Brown, and Hazel Sanders (husband, Larry); and his numerous nieces and nephews.

Daniel is remembered for his loving strength as a husband, father and grandfather.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Motley, Matthew Spencer, David Anderson, Nathan Hancock, Mark Mallard, Larry Sanders, Pepper Durso, and the members of Jones Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

A memorial service with be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Clute, Texas.
