Butch Brandt

On Tuesday, November 10, 2015, this world lost one of the most amazing people it has ever known. Butch Brandt, age 67, was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in West Columbia. He attended Columbia High School and then went on to Texas A&M before returning to Brazoria County to begin a lifelong career as a machinist. In 1998, he partnered with Ken Mattheaus to form Javelina Mechanical Services from which he retired in 2012.

All who knew him can attest to Butch's love of archery, hunting, fishing, photography, reading and most of all--family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories Patsy, his wife of 26 years; his mother, Geraldine Sullivan of Angleton; brother, John Brandt of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Shannon Smith, of Angleton; son, Brad Brandt and husband, Joel Quinones, of Houston, Texas; along with a host of other family and friends.

Butch is preceded in death by his father, Floyd E. Brandt of West Columbia.

A memorial service (casual attire was always Butch's preference) will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, 98 North Dixie Drive, Lake Jackson, TX. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.lakewoodfuneralchapel.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a memorial be made to a charity of your choice.
