Patsy Ruth Skachok of Lake Jackson, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 24, 2018 at the age of 87. Patsy was born on April 27, 1930 in Port Arthur Texas to Gus and Vada Fischer. Patsy married the love of her life, Alton Skachok, on November 15, 1946. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Patsy's greatest joy in life was her personal relationship with Jesus Christ and sharing her life with her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and her many friends. Her grandchildren adored their 'MawMaw' and will forever cherish the time spent with her. She is survived by daughters Margaret Jensen and husband, Ron, and Dianna Jones and husband, David. She had nine grandchildren: Rebecca (Becky), Michael (Mikie), Racheal, Dustin, Matthew, Brandy, Erica, Brittany, and Jonathan; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and her sister, Barbara Buttram. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Alton; daughters Altonia (Toni) Murphy and Robin Closs. Pallbearers include Dustin Jones, Matthew Jensen, Jonathan Jones, Michael Murphy (Mikie), Jr., Michael Murphy, David Jones, and Ron Jensen. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, 98 N. Dixie Drive, Lake Jackson, TX (tel. 979-297-6464). The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. - till service time. Patsy was a member of the Clute Church of Christ and Mr. Jim Belcher will be officiating the service.

We had the honor of being Patsy's neighbor on Spruce. What a wonderful neighbor! She was always bringing homemade goodies over to us. We missed her friendship when we moved in 2009.
