Funeral Services for Doris Ann Stovall Bass Luster, age 82, of Clute, Texas will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Clute, Texas with Pastor Josh McGee and Duane Phy officiating. Interment will be held at Restwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018. Doris Ann Stovall Bass Luster was born in June 23, 1935, and passed away on January 4, 2018. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Clute, Texas since 1956 where she taught the Samaritan Sunday School Class for 30-plus years. She worked at Clute Intermediate School for 30-plus years where she ministered to many students. She loved her family very much and every Sunday had a hot meal for her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, and any stray that came in the back door. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Luster; her parents, David "Chum" Stovall and Dora Stovall; Joe Dan and David Bass; and great-grandson, Garrett Cantrell. Doris is survived by her brother, Everett (Delores) Stovall; children, Danna (Tommy) Hayes, Randy, Ronnie (Renee), Raymond (Lori) Luster; grandchildren, David (Andrea) Luster, Lacie (Danny) Orr, Lindsey Luster, Jillian Luster, Kelsey Hayes, Cole Luster, Chloe Luster, Casey Tumlinson and Dean Tumlinson; great-grandchildren, Atley, Sunny, Blaide Luster, Caleb and Micaiah Orr, Calleigh and Tanner Bowen, Noah Austin and Zane Hayes. Extended family members including nephew, Stuart Luster, beloved like a son, Bucc Blevins and Pam York, beloved like a daughter. Pallbearers will be Mike Blevins, Eugene Burke, Tommy Hayes, Arnal Lovick, Cole Luster, Stuart Luster, Ray Martin, Caleb Orr, and Danny Orr. Honorary pallbearers will be Truman Bowles, William P. Cooner; and great-grandchildren, Micaiah Orr, Atley Luster, Calleigh Bowen, Sunny Luster, Tanner Bowen, Noah Austin, Zane Hayes, and Blaide Luster.
