F.C. "Buddy" Carroll passed away on October 10, 2016 at the age of 90. He was born May 18, 1926 in Markum, Texas to Edward C. Carroll and Cassie Carroll. Buddy was raised in Wharton, Texas. On October 1, 1948, he married the love of his life, Rees Marie Thomas and in 1957, Buddy and Rees Marie moved to Lake Jackson, Texas. Buddy was a loving husband, Daddy, Gramps, brother and uncle who retired from AT&T after working for 39 years as a telephone lineman. He was a faithful servant of the Lord, attending Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Richwood, Texas. Buddy is preceded in death by his wife, Rees Marie Carroll; his parents, Edward C. and Cassie Carroll; six sisters; four brothers; and his son-in-law, Danny Griffith. Buddy is survived by his loving daughter, Margaret Carroll Griffith; granddaughter, Mollie Griffith Malone, husband, David Malone, and children, Taylor Malone and Ethan Malone; granddaughter, LaDonna Griffith Ready, husband, John Ready, and children, Allison Stubbs and Emily Stubbs; and great great-grandson, Dameron Ouch. Buddy is also survived by his sister, Susie Mathis; and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive visitors on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Lake Jackson. The service will be Friday morning at 10 a.m. at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at 1 o'clock at the Alvin Confederate Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Unity Missionary Baptist Church or A MED Community Hospice.

So sorry about Buddy's passing. Just found out about. Have fond memories of his smileing face. He lived a long life, but I know we are never ready to give them up.

We are so saddened by this wonderful man's death but praise God for His grace extended to all believers. For I know where Bro. Carroll is now. I'm saddened for you Margaret because I know he was your rock and he loved you & Molly so much. We will be in prayer for you.
