Anthony Merced Lopez, 64, left this earth on July 17, 2017 after a long hard fought battle with cancer. He was born on November 15, 1952 in Houston, TX. He married Elaine Foster on May 26, 1983. He lived in Lake Jackson, TX for the last 34 years where he drove a cement truck for a few different companies. He was a hard worker and hardly ever missed work. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Rufus and Ursula Lopez, sister, Ruth Lopez, and brother, Jesse Lopez. He is survived by wife, Elaine Lopez, sons David Foster, Ricky Lopez and wife Susie Lopez, and Ryan Lopez; grandchildren, Hope, Suzeya, Jasarah, Jace, Svanya, and R'Anthony; siblings, Rufus, Leroy, Bernard (Anna), Ruth Melendez (Max), Theresa Rodriguez (Adan), Eva Duran (Raymond), Liz Banks, Lanelle Hamlet, and Lana Ruiz; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Lakewood Funeral Chapel on Sunday July 23, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Monday July 24, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.
