Funeral services for David E. Kotzbauer age 79, of Lake Jackson will be held Tuesday, January 2, at 2 pm at Willow Drive Baptist Church. There will be a visitation prior to the service at 1 pm. Dave died at his home on December 24, 2017. Dave was born in Milltown Indiana at the home of his Aunt Mary Littell, on November 30, 1938, to parents Frank Andrew Kotzbauer and Kathryn Elizabeth Boyd Kotzbauer. Dave grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Southport High School, Indianapolis, in 1957, and from Butler University, Indianapolis, in 1962. Soon after he went to work for Pittman Moore in Indianapolis, a subsidiary of Dow Chemical. He also worked in the Los Angeles area for Bio Science a subsidiary of Dow before joining Dow Texas Operations. Dave worked 32 years as an accountant for Dow before his retirement in 1994. He was a member of Willow Dr. Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 36 years Judy Kotzbauer, son William D. Kotzbauer and wife Laura of Freeport, daughter Karen Kotzbauer Rose of Chatsworth CA, brother Richard Kotzbauer of Indianapolis, granddaughter Heidi Kotzbauer Williams and husband Blaine of Danbury, and great-grandchildren Aaron Brown, Lily, Peyton and Priscilla Williams. Other survivors include Judy's children, daughter Edie Campbell, grandchildren Allie Cates O'Brien, Taylor Chitwood and Adelyn Campbell, great-grandchildren Cole, Grace and Rylee O'Brien. Also Laura Kotzbauer's daughters, Dana Ruckman, Amanda Cummins and Natalie Brown. Two nieces, two nephews and other family and friends also survive. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to: Willow Drive Baptist Church Building Fund, 200 Willow Drive, Lake Jackson, TX 77566, The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City OK 73123, or the charity of your choice.
