Marvin B Wallace of Lake Jackson died on August 20, 2018. Marvin was born on February 13, 1927 to Marvin E and Lyda Brumfield Wallace in Franklinton, La. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Lake Jackson on Friday, February 23, Visitation will be at 1:00 and the service at
2:00. Marvin is survived by his wife, Martha; son, Stephen Bernard Wallace and wife Jeanette of Lake Jackson; daughter-in-law Shirley Wallace of Angleton; grandchildren, Lindsey Wallace, Colby Wallace, Joshua George, Zachary George, Jacob George, Matthew Wallace, Casey Perez (Eli) and Jake Wallace (Kim); and 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lorraine; son Marvin Michael Wallace, daughter Susan George, grandson Jason Steve Wallace, brother, Rexford E Wallace; sisters Jeanette H Doughty, and Dora Sharp. Marvin served in the Navy in WWII and was a member of the Andy Brannon Post 306. He attended South Eastern Louisiana College and retired from Dow Chemical after 37 years. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jake Wallace, Joshua George, Zachary George, Jacob George, Matthew Wallace and nephew, Darwin Sharp. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Adult 3 Sunday School Class. A special thanks to Nanci Witt, Penny Ferguson and Bo Lander for their kindness throughout his illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the family and our prayers are that the Lord will get you through this difficult time. Mr. Wallace was a great man, hard worker and loved his family in La and Texas. Rest in Peace !! We all will miss you.
