Mary Ann Krampota

Mary Ann (Salazar) Krampota, 47, of Lake Jackson, Texas passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 of multiple strokes brought on by Melas Syndrome. She died peacefully at her home, surrounded by family after a summer-long fight against the disease. She was born June 18, 1967 to Jesse and Teresa (Aluiso) Salazar of Clute, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her mother, brother Jesse Salazar, Jr. and her dear cousin Rosemary Cancino.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Glenn Krampota, daughter, Katelin Krampota, God-daughter, Tiffani Salazar-Mallory, father, Jesse Salazar, Sr. sisters, Rosa Burton (Glen), Angela Salazar and Carmen Salazar, brother John Salazar and brother in law Sistos Lara, Sr. special friend, Jerri Lynn Rhodes, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was a graduate of Brazoswood High School and Brazosport College with a degree in Chemical Lab Technology. She was a long time assistant manager at Long John Silvers in Clute where she worked with manager and friend, Tim Williams, before returning to college and going to work as a chemical lab technician.

She was devoted to the care of her parents and ailing brothers and sisters, loved animals and was a very hard worker often working two jobs while also attending school. After she became disabled by Melas, she enjoyed raising peach and avocado plants from seed, couponing, watching "Wheel of Fortune" as well as caring for her daughter.

A memorial Mass will be held Friday, August 29, 2014, at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Clute with a rosary starting at 10:30 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 a.m.

The family would like to thank her caretakers, Ariana Burton, Lacie Combs and IPH Hospice.

Flowers can be sent directly to St. Jerome Catholic Church the morning of the service.
