Mr.Hawk was a very nice man. I met him over 20 years ago when I worked AR On the River Restaurant. He would come in to pickup his food and have me make a bloody Mary for him. Mr. Hawk said I made the best bloody Mary. I say him after I had stopped working at restaurant one. We talked about the times he used to come in to the restaurant. Mr.Hugh Hawkins was an amazing man. My condolences to your family.

Mrs. Hawkins,
I am so sorry for your lost. Your Velasco family is praying for you and the family.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. Hawk, we went back quite a few years. You were one of the first people I met when I moved down here. I have quite a few memories of you and a very tall unicycle, the Texas Jam, and living at the Casa de Lago apartments. You were always up for a party. Its a good thing that this is not the end. I know I will see you again my friend. I'll see you on the other side!

To Hugh's family. Hawk and I shared many a laugh when we were young, and in high school. Though we hadn't seen each other since those days of old, I have always held our friendship as fond memories from my past. When I heard of Hugh's passing, I was deeply saddened, as he was way too young to leave. He will be dearly missed and I deeply regret not staying in touch, all of these years. I will always remember Hawk's brilliant smile and joyous laughter. My sincere condolences to you all, at this trying time. I pray for your pain to pass swiftly, and may you come to celebrate the good times past, filled with love and laughter.

With much respect,,

Liz and Aunt Nita, I know you miss him so much. I haven't seen Hugh in years and seeing his picture here, I thought he looks so much like Uncle Forest. I'm praying for you.

Katherine, Liz and family,
I am very sorry for your loss. I pray that you find peace in knowing that he is no longer suffering from the pain. Katherine, you were his pride and joy and he spoke of you often. He will always be with you in spirit.

Hawk was my first new friend when I relocated to the area in the mid 90s. We worked side by side for many years at GSI and we became very good friends during that time. He always had my back and I had his. Aside from construction work, he was also a whiz with computers. He helped me build my first Pentium which lasted several years because we built it right... we built it "wet" as he would say. You will be missed my friend. Vaya con Dios.

Hawks a good man and knew his job well. He was very understanding to my lack of knowledge in Plant working and gave me my start in work in the Plants at Dow in 1990 at Plant B 8400.
