Pixie Floyd, 72, of Clute, Texas passed away on July 12, 2018. Pixie was born November 1, 1945 to Juanita and Vernon Floyd in Santa Barbara, California. Pixie's father was in the military and her family moved over several states in the US. The family eventually settled in Brazoria County when Pixie was 15. Pixie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas (Tommy) J. Cleaver Sr., her daughter Sharon Marie Olson, grandson D.J. Daum, her parents, and her sisters Louise McShaffrey and April French, her sons in law Rueben Rubio and Sean Walker. She is survived by her children John L. Olson and wife Brenda of Lake Jackson, Malinda Sipes Crews and husband Tom of Brazoria, Leisha Walker of Freeport, Thomas J. Cleaver Jr. and wife Adelaida of Plano, Emily Rubio and fiancé Danny Gaona of Lake Jackson. She is survived by nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Pixie is also survived by her brother Vernon (Von) Floyd II and wife Kathy and sister Phyllis Floyd along with numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Pixie loved to read and kept lists of the books she had completed. The titles by Michael Connelly, James Patterson, and Patricia Cornwell as well as others would fill the pages. Other hobbies include sewing, crafts, gardening, and she loved learning and talking about history. She also loved baking and would share the bounty with anyone in need. Her annual Christmas cookie bake-off with the grandchildren was looked forward to by all. She loved her grandchildren and took great delight in telling stories about them to anyone willing to listen. Pixie loved to talk and learn about people. She never met a stranger. Her family and friends knew if they got her on the phone, be prepared to be on the phone for and hour or more. She had a fabulous sense of humor that had a huge element of snark and sarcasm, a trait she happily passed along to her children and grandchildren. Her laugh and wittiness was enjoyed and loved by her friends and family. Pixie was a kind and generous soul. She enjoyed volunteering and shared her love of reading by helping children who might have difficulty in the area. Pixie's years of working as an assistant to Dr. Max Royalty in Freeport were a source of pride for her as well as a goldmine of stories to tell of his many patients, especially the children. After retiring from Dr. Royalty, she and Tommy ran Pixies Furniture and Cabinet Shop in Freeport. The shop is now part of the Freeport Historical Museum with a sign depicting it as Pixies Place. Pixie will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A memorial service for Pixie will be held at Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene, 3007 Highway 332, Lake Jackson, Texas 77566 on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to the National World War II Museum, or to a charity of your choice.

I love you Mom! I am going to miss you so much. I wish we would have been able to say goodbye. I just feels so it just feels so unfinished. I am glad our last visit was a good one. I just wish I would have known it was going to be the last. ❤️ I love you. Until I see you again. 😘
