J M "Babe" West
Babe was born on March 20, 1938, and went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2016.
Funeral services for J.M. "Babe" West, age 77, of West Columbia, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016, at Freedom House, 800 N Ave F, Freeport, TX, with Ernie Hutchings officiating. The family will receive friends at the daughter's house at 6:00 p.m. on January 29, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Leo and Estelle West. Babe was a welder for many years with U.S. Contractors. He loved to bowl, watch Nascar, wrestling, and bull riding; and he love to take care of his plants on his patio.
Survivors include his daughter, Lori Taylor and her husband, Mark Taylor, of West Columbia; his grandson, Justin Taylor and fiancé, Danielle Moore, of O'Fallon, Missouri; and granddaughter, Brooklyn and husband, Troy McBride, of Lake Jackson; and grandson, Blaine Tribble, of West Columbia; and great-grandchildren, Amiyah, Davin, and Bentley.

Worked with Babe for several years, good man....good welder....he was talented, could make Indian dream catchers and headdress, enjoyed talking to him...May the Family be comforted by the Almighty with this loss?..God Bless!
