Lynn A. Longino was born in West Columbia on April 23, 1943. Lynn passed away on Sunday March 27, 2016 surrounded by family members.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Chapel with the Dr. Lynne Settlemyre officiating. Visitation begins at 12:00 p.m. and will be open to friends and the public until the service begins at 2 p.m. Interment will be held at Restwood Cemetery immediately following.

Lynn grew up in Lake Jackson and worked for The Dow Chemical Company for 32 years. He retired as a Safety Manager and had many prestigious awards and commendations.

He was a true sportsman; Lynn enjoyed hobbies from fishing to golfing. He loved watching the local baseball teams and had the privilege to watch his grandson knock the last homerun to win their high school state championship for Lake Jackson in 2010. His favorite hobby though, was dancing with the! love of his life, Debra.

Lynn loved to strike up a conversation from sports to politics and could always make you think twice about your opinion and point of view on life.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Debra, daughter Tricia and husband Billy Easter; his son Robert Longino, daughter Sarah and husband Chris Humphrey, son Zach Diaz and his wife Elise Middleton; his two brothers, Glenn Longino and wife Val Taylor and Kenny and his wife Carol Longino; his grandchildren William and Daniel Easter, Hunter Dickson, and Brittany and Nathaniel Humphrey and many nieces and nephews. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Lucille Longino.

Our prayers are with the Longino Family. We love you.
Lynn was my first baseball coach in 1975 and I am still coaching my son today. What a pure love for the game I sure miss those "fire side chats" with Lynn, while waiting on Robert to fix his hair so we could go out on the town. Politics, religion, sports, etc. we covered them all.
Until we meet again my friend.
