Commonly known as Pat Smith, she was a Mother to all who knew her. She would instantly win your heart and take you under her wing. Gene Smith and Patsy raised 5 children, Cheryl (Husch), Greg (Bill), Verna (Bice), Rhonda, and John (Brent). She had a successful career as an Activities Director at various nursing homes in the Brazoria County area. Famous for her unmatched gift giving and exuberant laughter, she touched the lives and hearts of so many and it was obvious that those personal connections fueled her passion for life.
She will be missed deeply by all who had privilege of knowing her. She is survived by Verna (Bice) & (Danny), John Brent Smith & (Peggy), 5 Grandchildren; Byron Husch, Julie (Bice) Landman / Gaffney, Miranda (Smith) Arms, Allison (Bice) Crabtree, Carly Smith and 11 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are at Lakewood Funeral Chapel. Viewing will begin at 1:00 pm with services at 3pm. All are welcome to attend and share their condolences and celebrate their fond memories of Patsy.

Even though We only just physically met a few years ago, I feel like I have known you for my whole life. As a child. young adult, and even as a mother of three, I often thought of you and wondered what you might be like...would you be kind, loving, supportive; would you accept me, or even love me. You by far surpassed all those wonders, and have shown me the type of love I never knew could exist. You, grandma Pat have thoroughly embarrassed my life, and made it so much better. Just as I have told you all these things in life, I want to share with others how you have taken a lonely, lost girl like myself, and transformed me into the most confident, complete woman that I am today. My heart is now whole. Thank you for your love, thank you for your memories, thank you for showing me where I belong. I love you, and so do your great grandchildren, Shay, Haily, and Gunner. You kindness, loving, and exuberant personality will live on, as we will help keep your legacy alive. Bye grandma, I will never forget you.
