On any given Sunday you could always guarantee if there was a NASCAR race on TV that's where Daddy was from the start of the race to the final checkered flag. Unless of course, he was at his post as head cook for his husband and wife team of BCB Cookers. Daddy loved his BBQ and spending time with his family and BBQ friends at many a cook off. We will greatly miss his unique sense of humor and little jokes that made him who he was. You could always count on him no matter the situation to be there for you at a moment's notice with jokes ready to roll. He loved to make those around him smile.

Coleman Family,
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Russell. Although I have not seen your family in 27 years, ( since we moved to the other side of Dallas ). I can say that Russell was the type of husband & father that would give you his plate of food, if you were hungry, and he go without!!!!
I am positive he was a Great Papa too. I also know that he loved and adored his wife. You could see it in his eyes, when he was around her. My children were always playing with his, either at his home or mine. Him and his wife were the 1st ones that I let watch my son, while I went to the hospital to be with my Momma. This world lost a very special and loving man. He is now resting in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
Yours, Jolynne Morris

Russell will be missed by all who knew him. He was a lot of fun to work with. I know he fought a gallant fight, but his maker needed him now.

So sorry for your loss. I worked with him at IBM. He would not hesitate to come where I was working and lend a hand. He was so fun to be around and had so many tells to tell. He is missed everyday.
Thoughts and prayers to your family

After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we've shared with our loved ones who have passed, this is what keeps them alive in our hearts and in our minds, and they will continue to live on, through us. My condolences. Russell will be missed, but is cooking in Heaven with some of his friends.
