Missie flew away with angels on July 19, 2016. She was the wife of the late Charles G. Bankston Sr. of Freeport, TX. Missie is survived by her sister, Dorothy Toler of Lake Jackson; her daughter, Charla Harkreader of Lake Jackson; her son, Charles G. Bankston Jr. , of Jones Creek; and step-daughters, Debbie Gilbert, Sherry Butler, and Cindy Howland; honorary daughters, Tammy Bean and Becka Ryder.She was an active member of Second Baptist Church of Lake Jackson. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Lakewood Chapel in Lake Jackson, TX. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, July 22. Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday , July 23, 2016.

Dear Family of Missie. I was her classmate and have so many fond memories of her especially in Jr.HIgh together.She always, always smiled, was a friend to everyone. Heartfelt prayers to you the family. The angels must be singing to have her among them.
