Douglas Eldon Frazier, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, peacefully passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, at his Lake Jackson home. Douglas was born March 5, 1944, in Wharton, Texas, to Eldon and Rose Peterson Frazier and attended Wharton public schools graduating in 1962. He then attended Wharton County Junior College and finished his degree at the University of Houston in 1967. After graduation Douglas married Carolyn Watson of Houston. They moved to Lake Jackson where Douglas was employed by Dow Chemical until his retirement in 2012. Douglas and Carolyn were blessed with two children, Andrew Douglas Frazier and Robin Rochelle Stanley. Douglas loved sports and kept up with all his favorite teams especially U of H! He also loved music, fishing, dominoes, writing poems and songs, and photography especially family pictures! Douglas was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son Andy and fiancé Earlene of Angleton, daughter Robin Stanley of Clute, grandchildren Vincent Frazier and fiancé Christina, Valerie Frazier, Ryan Welborn and wife Analisa, Kayla Caceres and husband Weston, Jimmy Welborn and wife Ashley, and Jeffery Welborn and 4 great-grandchildren; two sisters Linda Ullmann of Wharton and Diane Vacek and husband Victor of Houston.
Douglas left this message inscribed on his tombstone "Rejoice for He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life and has eternal joy and peace in the Lord's Loving Hands in heaven's paradise above." Amen. The family will receive friend's noon until service time at 2pm Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Lakewood Chapel with Pastor John Elkins officiating.
