Sharon Catherine Smith was born on April 7, 1956 and heaven welcomed her home on May 26, 2017. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Nell Zimmerebner of Little Rock, her father in law, T. D. Smith of Viola, AR and two nephews, Joshua Smith and Joseph Wayne Zimmerebner. Sharon leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Richard, and children Anni Leigh and Wesley Coe, and Joseph Smith all of Lake Jackson, and Justin and Michele Smith of Kyle, along with in laws and friends Michael and Brenda Smith of Richmond. Her grandchildren, Dillon, Kayden and Kylie were a special blessing to Sharon as well as her precious Mother in law and dear friend Miyoko Smith. May the best of who she was live on in all of you. Sharon was the light of her family and a best friend to her siblings, Mike and Lynn Zimmerebner Frank and Julie Zimmerebner, Betty and David Adams and Becky and Blake Ketzscher. She filled each room she entered with light and laughter and she was loved and admired by her many nieces and nephews including Ashleigh and Kenny Fears, Caitlyn and Trevor Locke, Maverick Joseph Locke, Abby and Dan Frohock, Samuel Joseph Fears, Madelyn Fears, Mike and Amberly Zimmerebner, Kristin, Rachel, Daniel and Ramy Zimmerebner, Stecks Zimmerebner, Julie Wynne Zimmerebner, Ryan and Andrea Smith, Catey Ketzscher, and Carlton Ketzscher. Sharon's young adult life was filled with adventure and she traveled extensively throughout the U. S. and Europe. She was humbled by the beauty of this world and her good fortune to experience what life had to offer. Her careers included the floral industry as well as personal assistant and model for two well-known photographers and Manpower, Inc. In all areas she made and maintained lifelong friendships she cherished. When Sharon married Richard, and moved to Lake Jackson from Little Rock she happily settled down to raise their little family. Her life became service to her church, her family and her community. She always believed in giving back and she volunteered thousands of hours in her life to hospitals and her churches. Sharon also enjoyed her commitment to her children's schools and sports as an active parent and willing worker. Richard and Sharon support countless charities and Sharon was called to mission work in Alaska and Bulgaria. Sharon was a fixer and a problem solver. Sharon's humanity and her concern for others compelled her to lift up and support people as they found their way through life. She leaves behind her sponsored child, Nazmia Nahar of Bangladesh. No matter her personal worries Sharon came as a listener and adviser to people facing hard times. How bright Sharon's star will shine when we look to heaven for comfort. Please remember her by offering a kind word or deed. Life is about who we meet along the way. How fortunate we are to have shared part of our journey with Sharon. Rest now, Sissy. You are always in our hearts. The family will be accepting visitors Tuesday, May 30th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and there will be a celebration of Sharon's life Wednesday, May 31st at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at First Baptist Church Of Lake Jackson. In lieu of flowers please donate to a favorite charity of your choice

We were away when Sharon passed, and had not heard of her death until after her funeral. Sharon was one of the kindest, most genuine Christian women it has been my pleasure to meet, and I have no doubt she is enjoying Heaven's beauty. Her smile lit up every room she entered, and I will miss seeing that smile. Our prayers are with the whole family.
