Norma Jlane Small Fowler, a long time resident of Jones Creek, moved to Heaven on Thursday, September 7, 2017. She was born January 1, 1930 in Crockett, Texas to Luther and Fay Small. She was preceded in death by her husband Mark Fowler, her daughter Pamela Gaye Fowler, her granddaughter Heather Renee' Corley, parents Luther and Fay Small, sisters Margaret McKinney and Betty Lucas, brother Harold Small, and many other family and friends. She was a member of Jones Creek Baptist Church for fifty one years where she taught three year old in Sunday School for many years; she was organizer - and long time leader - of the Go Getters, the Senior Citizens group; she was a current member of the Lydia Sunday School class; and she served her church in many other ways. She was also a member of TOPS club in Lake Jackson; she was Queen of TOPS for the state of Texas. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a member of a garden club also. She served as a volunteer at Woodlake Nursing Home and the SeaMen's Center, among many other places. She is survived with much love by her only son, Mark K. Fowler of Jones Creek; her daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Bruce Bean, Linda and Roy Onstott; grandchildren Chris Corley and his wife Kari, Ben Corley, Joshua Corley, Mason Onstott, and Brandon Onstott; great grandchildren Caitlyn Corley, Christian Corley, Day'Anna Corley, Samantha Corley, Avery Corley, Colin Corley, Mark Corley, Michael Corley, Jessica Corley, and Henry Corley; great granddaughter Amelia Corley. She is also survived by sister Frances Rymer and sister-in-law Maggie Small; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous friends. Viewing will be at 1:15 - 2:45 pm, followed by the service at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Jones Creek Baptist Church on Highway 36 in Jones Creek, Texas. Norma Fowler will be sorely missed as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
