Dennis Lee Mizell (69) was born July 24, 1948, and passed from this earthly life to eternal life with God on September 25, 2017. Denny served in the US Army from 1970 to 1973. He was a communications tech from 1982 at Union Carbide and later with Dow Chemical until his retirement in 2016. Denny was a founding member of Grandparents As Parents (GAP) along with his wife, Gail, and the staff at Angleton First United Methodist Church. He was a faithful member of Angleton First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail, of Angleton; son, Dennis C. Mizell and wife, Sareth; granddaughter, Jessica; and grandson, Andrew; son, John Hogan and wife, Molly; grandson, John; and granddaughter, Keirstyn, of Lake Jackson; son, Todd Kieso, and wife, Karissa; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Raelyn, of Springfield, Missouri; adopted grandchildren, daughter, Sierra Kieso (great granddaughter Ariel); daughter, Gabrielle Mizell; son, Alec Mizell; daughter, Christy Lesher and husband, Scott; granddaughter, Casey Sample, and husband, Matthew; great-granddaughter, Avery; and great-grandson, Benjamin, of Grand Island, Nebraska; daughter, Heidi Kieso of Bettendorf, Iowa. A service of celebration will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Angleton First United Methodist Church (219 N Arcola, Angleton, TX 77515). The family will receive friends starting at 1 p.m. Reverend John R. Black and Reverend Bonnie Cowing will be officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Jennings, Kansas.
