Ron left his earthly bonds behind on October 23, 2017 in Houston, Texas at age 55 surrounded by those who loved him. Born March 6, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas, he became the much loved child of Ted and Daisy Pevey. He graduated from Angleton High School in 1980. He went on to further his education in Houston, Texas with an Associate's Degree in Computer Science. He worked in the computer field for many companies including Intermedics Inc. Angleton and Freeport, 14 years; Parker Management, four years; Adhesives Research, two years; Satyum Consulting, five years; and Centric nine years. He was a man of many talents. Ron was an excellent magician and entertained his friends with his illusions. He chopped many hands and heads off as well as making several friends disappear. Some he didn't make reappear. He enjoyed making wine, beer, cheese, and was a food aficionado and critic. He mastered all forms of cooking. He excelled at the piano and several forms of music. He became a shortwave radio operator and made many friends in that area and around the world. He formed People Tracers and had 53 successful adoption reunions because of his own search for his birth parents. He is survived by his life partner and husband, Terry Bailey; and aunt, Margery McGee; and cousins, Linda McGeee, Janet Casstevens, and Amy Bibb; and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ted Wayne Pevey and Daisy Pearl Cartwright Pevey, Lake Jackson, Texas and Bonnie Glover, Murfeesboro, TN. A special thanks to niece, Sherryl Jean Rivera for her compassion and love and her wonderful bologna sandwiches. A celebration of Ron's life will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Dido's Restaurant on the San Bernard River, Brazoria, TX. Dress will be casual, tie-dyed preferred. Ron was an avid supporter of Brazoria County SPCA. His wish was that donations be made to the Brazoria County SPCA, 141 Canna Lane, Lake Jackson, TX in lieu of flowers.
