Barry Ray Tidwell, 73, of Lake Jackson, TX, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2017. He was born to Alvin Ray and LaNelle Tidwell in Hearne, Texas on July 15, 1944. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Keith and twin Larry. He is survived by: son Kevin Tidwell and his wife Michella of New Braunfels; son Darren Tidwell and his wife Bridget of Lake Jackson; Aunt Ruth Harber and her husband Frank of Whitesboro, TX; grandchildren Xavier and Juniper Tidwell of New Braunfels, and Henry and Jane Claire Tidwell of Lake Jackson. Barry enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and working with the Lake Jackson Citizens on Patrol (COPs) program where he volunteered for many years helping to make the area safer for our residents. He will be missed. A memorial will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson with Pastor Chad Alexander officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Lake Jackson Police Academy Alumni Association in Barry's honor.
