Funeral services for Minnette Marie Dionne Schaefer, age 86 of Lake Jackson,Texas will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday March 24th at Lakewood Funeral chapel with Rev. Harold Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm Friday March 23rd at Lakewood Chapel. Minnette was born in Port Arthur, Texas on March 12,1932 to Milton and Beulah Dionne. She married the love of her life , Clarence Schaefer on September 5, 1949. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Minnette worked at A. P. Beutel lunchroom, she sold Tupperware, she worked at J.Mac Furniture, and retired from JCPenney. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Milton Dionne Jr. ; also her beloved husband,Clarence, who passed away on June 21, 2003. She is now happily reunited with him in Heaven. She was a loving wife, fantastic Mom and grandmother. Minnette was also a great cook and baker. She is survived by four children: Bert (Wanda) Schaefer of Clute, Brenda (Phil) Caletka of Manvel, Rev. Kenneth Schaefer of Angleton and Terence (Lisa) Schaefer of Lake Jackson; eight grandchildren: Bert Schaefer Jr., Kimberly Schaefer of Angleton, Lee (Bridget) Caletka, Christy (Mark) Browne, Michael (Chelsea) Schaefer, Samantha (Jason) Alexander, Breanna Schaefer and Reed Schaefer; Minnette also had 7 great-grandchildren.
