On Sunday, May 13, 2018 Douglas Weisinger went to be with the Lord, passing peacefully in his home. Funeral services for Douglas C. Weisinger, age 76, of Brazoria, TX will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel with Pastor Justin Gatlin officiating. The family will receive friends at Lakewood Funeral Chapel on Thursday May 17, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Douglas was born on February 15, 1942 in Lufkin, TX to J.E. (Boots) and Louise Weisinger. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jerry E. Weisinger. Douglas retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years of service, he then went to work at TDCJ-ID and retired at the rank of Captain. Survivors include wife, Odessa of Brazoria; Daved E. Weisinger (Dena) of Caldwell TX, Devin Weisinger of Brazoria, Lura Walker (Carrick) of Brazoria, TX and Tanya Wynne (James) of Brazoria; grandchildren, Meghan Wynne of Brazoria, Tyler Wynne of Brazoria, Greyson Walker of Brazoria, Lacy Oliver of Beaumont, TX, Cody Weisinger of Lufkin, TX; and great-grandsons, Braxton and Hutson Oliver of Beaumont TX and Kieston Wynne of Brazoria, TX. Pallbearers will be James Wynne, Tyler Wynne, Dillon Oliver, Greyson Walker, Carrick Walker, and Cody Weisinger. Honorary Pallbearers will be Devin Weisinger, Kieston Wynne, Braxton Oliver, and Hutson Oliver.
