Robert C (Bob) McClure of Lake Jackson passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2018 at the age of 94. He was born in Lindsay, Oklahoma on September 29, 1924 to Mr. and Mrs. William Grady McClure.
Bob served in the United States Navy during World War II. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in chemical engineering. Bob work for Dow Chemical Company for 37 years until his retirement.
Bob married Betty Ulmer on July 20, 1957 and they had 61 wonderful years together.
Survivors include his wife Betty J McClure of Lake Jackson two children Pamela Ann McClure of LakeJackson Meghan Elaine Guerra of Kingwood, Texas and four grandchildren Jasen Guerra of Austin, Texas Monica Guerra of Houston, Texas Jared Guerra of San Marcos, Texas Jaden Guerra of Kingwood, Texas.
After retirement, Bob taught English as a second language for 25 years. Bob was a watercolor artist and enjoyed traveling with his wife Betty. He was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Lake Jackson.
Memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Lake Jackson in the chapel Saturday December 8, 2018 at 2 pm. Reception to follow.
