Brenda B. Corley, sister, aunt, and friend, passed from her earthly life on Saturday, May 11, 2019, in Lake Jackson, Texas, to her heavenly home at age 78 due to complications from COPD. She was born January 26, 1941 in New Salem, Rusk County, Texas, to her parents, Bernard Lee and Verdelle Corley. She was a 1958 graduate ofBrazosport High School and was a graduate of Massey Business College in Houston, Texas.

During her lifetime, she worked as an Administrative Assistant, for Coffee International, Dow Chemical Company and Exxon Corporation in Houston, Texas. Brenda retired from Exxon Corporation as an Administrative Assistant in Upper Management in 1999, and returned to reside in Lake Jackson, Texas. She loved her family," watching the Houston Astros games, old western movies and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her sister, Dolores Corley Stovall and husband Everett; and brother, Bernard Lee Corley, Jr. and wife Glynda. She was a wonderful aunt to her nieces, Shelley Stovall Stroud and husband Rodney, and Melissa Corley Pittman and husband Doug; and to her nephews, Alan E. Stovall and Kyle Lee Corley and wife, Erin. She was adored by her great nieces and nephews, Aaron Everett Stovall, Allison Stovall, Abigail Stovall, Camille Stroud,Cade Stroud, Corley Pittman, Caleb Pittman, Nate Pittman, Nicolette Corley and Caroline Corley. We all will miss her terribly.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

As per Brenda's request, there will be no funeral service celebrating her life. She requested a private burial.

I am so sorry to hear of Brenda's passing. She was a good friend in high school in the Class of '58. She held a special place in my heart. Prayers and peace for her family.

Delores, I am so sorry to hear of your sister's death. I remember her from when we were children, she was always a very sweet girl. We know she is resting in the arms of Jesus, without pain. I pray God will grant you peace and comfort during your grieving period and ever after.
