Goldie had a survived a tornado in 1943 in Freeport which killed her mother and best friend. June 19, 1948, Goldie married Lyle F. Anderson and together had four sons. In 1958, she survived polio and was in an iron lung for six months. Goldie was a true believer in God, family and friends. So many words can describe her, just look in the Webster's Dictionary and if you look hard enough, you might see her picture under such words as kind, honest, loyal, loving and unconditional.
Goldie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andy; son, John Marcus Anderson.
She is survived by three sons, Gary, Mike (Amy); Terry (Cheryl); step son, Roland Anderson; twelve grandkids and 14 great grandkids.
She is so loved by everyone that in normal time the church would be packed and people would be lining the streets to see her.
To respect her wishes, she would have wanted everyone to stay home, safe, during this virus outbreak. We will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.

I first of all apologize to Goldies family. Guess I was still so wrapped up over the death of my spouse in January, then the onset of our pandemic, that I overlooked going into this site to send my condolences. My Mother & Dad were good friends of your parents. Of course, I too continued to value your Mothers friendship. You can definitely rest assured that your Mother was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She stood for everything in life's encyclopedia that was good. Your family was blessed to have her as a Mother. I just had to write this because this pamdemic prevented my attending her funeral, May Goldie Rest In Peace. God bless. Regards, Peggy (Horn) Miltenberger

Loved seeing your mom at Kieth Fairchild's service. We agreed that funerals are always bittersweet. Sad we are there but sweet times to see friends from our lives. She was such a sweet lady.

Jones Creek has lost a beautiful, kind, soft spoken, thoughtful neighbor, and caring person. Goldie and my Mom were close friends for as far back as I can remember which is 70 years. I remember my mother visiting Goldie when she had polio. I always wanted to go with my Mom and although she never let me go, when she got home she would tell me all about how she was doing. All these past years anytime Jones Creek gathered together whether it was the many Village Celebrations, weddings, or a funeral I always looked for Goldie to get my hug from her. I will think about Goldie with wonderful memories and being blessed from knowing her. I'll Miss You Goldie!❤️❤️❤️
