He was born on September 9, 1928 in Beaumont, TX, to Marjorie Bailey and Robert C Greeves Sr. Robert passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the age of 92. He was a graduate of Highland Park High School in University Park, TX. He served in the Army as a First Lieutenant at Ft. Kansas, and fought in Korean War with an honorable discharge. He also attended Texas A&M and graduated with B.S in Civil Engineering. He married Kathryn Bowlby Greeves in 1959. Robert loves to play golf, cards, hunting and fly fishing. He was an active member of Brook Hollow Golf Club for over 50 years. Robert and his wife, Kathryn & the kids enjoyed many days out at the club playing golf, tennis & dining with good friends. Robert & Kathryn enjoyed spending time in their summer home in Pagodas Springs, Co. they entertained many of their lifelong friends there & took their dogs with them. They also supported the SPCA and enjoyed adopting several of them. He enjoyed hunting with his son, Spencer and grandson, Blake. He had a childlike heart and treated everyone with love and respect. He was a wonderful father and husband. He had a firm handshake and a gentle smile, and boy did he love his Oreos cookies with milk. He will forever be missed, but we know he is free from pain and progressing in his Alzheimer's disease and with our Lord in Heaven along with Kathryn and Spencer. We would like to thank the Woodlake Nursing Center and the Elmcroft Assisted Living Home for taking such good care of him, while he was here in Brazoria County, the last 5 years of his life. He is survived by his daughter, Kilby Thomas,& her husband, Philip Thomas, his grandchildren, Casey Hendrix and Blake Greeves
