Linda Louise Beathard, age 74, passed away March 25, 2021 in her home surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born January 23, 1947 in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Clark and Grace (Gulley) Day. A fifth generation Californian, she spent her college days studying theater at Pasadena Playhouse. Linda married the love of her life, Max Beathard, on April 20, 1968 and moved to Texas where she lived the remainder of her life. After 52 years of marriage, she lost her husband to covid on December 6, 2020. Linda is remembered for many jobs throughout her life. She prepared hot lunches for Brazosport Christian School, owned and operated Country Gourmet catering, and was part owner of KayAnns bridal. No matter what her job was, her goal was always the same; to raise her four children to be ready for the world and to follow Christ. Linda was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Clute for over 50 years. She will always be remembered for her words of love whispered in your ear and for her butterfly kisses.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Max, and parents Clark and Grace Day.
She is survived by her son Todd Beathard of Greensboro, NC, daughter Jennifer Beathard of Angleton, daughter Amy Zwahr and spouse, James, of Brazoria, daughter Kelly Vance and spouse, Weston, of Richwood, Sister Carolyn Groves and spouse, Don, of Spokane, WA, and grandchildren Zacary Zwahr, Max Vance, and Avery Vance.
There will be a small graveside service for family on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Restwood. It was Linda's wish to have a celebration of life along with her husband's at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be given to First Baptist Church Clute Youth Group.
