Eufenia "Hannah" Mendoza, age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 18, 2021 at Creekside Village Healthcare. Hannah was born in Thompson, TX on February 3, 1940. She was a long-time resident of Clute.

Hannah was preceded in death by her parents, Lazaro and Guadalupe Mendoza, siblings Maria, Antonia, Lazaro, Jose Angel, Elidia, Rachel, Guadalupe and Virginia.

Hannah is survived by her only son, Roy Mendoza and numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be lovingly remembered by Dora Delgado, Bea Gutierrez, Carmen Martinez, Theresa Cienfuegos (Cesar), Patricia Ortiz (Roy), Delores Garcia (John), Michael Matz and many "grandchildren" and "great-grandchildren" who affectionately called her Nanny.

The family thanks the staff at Creekside Village Healthcare for their great care and are also grateful to the staff at Divinity Hospice who comforted and cared for Hannah in her final weeks. Although our hearts are heavy, we celebrate her life and find comfort that she is at peace after a long illness.

Visitation will be at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 12 12:30 p.m. for the family and 12:30 1:15 p.m. for the public. A funeral mass will also be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Jerome's Catholic Church followed by an interment at Restwood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Michael Matz, John Garcia, Justin Garcia, Cesar Cienfuegos, Miguel Cantu and Daniel Gutierrez.
