Cynthia enjoyed gardening and painting while being involved with the Art League.
She was also a very active member at St. Michaels helping with St. Vincent de Paul, Altar Society, Women of St. Michael's special events and playing dominoes until health issues prevented her from participating. Cynthia also enjoyed little trips to the local beach watching her husband, Michael reel in the big ones! She truly enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and when her family would come down during the summers to go fishing. Cynthia was a good friend to all who knew her, and her calm demeanor will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Ponder and her sister Sherri Ponder. Cynthia is survived by her loving husband Michael, 39 years of marriage, daughter (Amanda & Gage Powers, granddaughter Aubri), sister-Debbie McCurley, bonus children, (Shad Pellizzari & Ellen), (Jeanne Moore & Jason) (Michelle Bradshaw & Ty). Grandchildren include: Johnathan, Marissa, Tyler, Torey, Addison, Zoey, Drake, Hailey, Libby, & Emmie. Nieces include: Mellissa & Mickey, Nephew: Brian.
Visitation will be held at St. Michael the Archangel in Lake Jackson On Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 6:00 -7:00 pm. with the rosary beginning at 7:00 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michaels at 11:00 am on Friday October 15th with a meal to follow in the Msgr. Leo Hall.

Cindy was a great neighbor. I will miss our visits as she squat in the driveway. She frequently spoke of her family and how she was so proud of them. There was no doubt she loved her husband, Michael . Cindy will be missed but never forgotten. She fought a hard battle but now stands in the presence of our Lord. What a beautiful site that must be . She is now totally healed .
