Myrna Janiece "Jeepy" Wood was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on July 1, 2022 at age 80 in Sweeny, Tx with her family by her side.

She was born as the first daughter to Bernice and Archie Horn on September 10, 1941 in Corsicana, Tx. She moved to Sweeny, Tx as a young girl and attended Sweeny school district. Shortly after, she welcomed three children; Kevin, Keith and Kim. She was happily married to her husband John for 40 years. She retired in 2000 from a successful career in the medical field. She took pride in her career and family. She loved to sit out on her front porch and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jeepy is survived by her husband John Wood; children, Kevin Carr, Keith McCain (Stephnee), Kim Stark (Adam); grandchildren, Seth Hagemeier (Gena) Austin Wauson, Jada Davis (Chris), Shelbey Kinney (Parker), Kodi Norsworthy (Ethan), Justin Stark, Morgyn Kotrla (Cody), Tyler McCain and Madison Cook; great-grandchild Jake, Gage, Channing, Miles, Carter, Kallen, Bailey, Huxley, Rowen, Piper, Beau; her sisters, Kathy Mickey (Larry) and Becky Coker (Gary); as well as numerous other extended family members and friend.

Jeepy was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Archie Horn; and her cousin Jan Worrell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 10AM at the Sweeny Cemetery Chapel with a burial of cremation to follow. After, a luncheon will take place in the Fellowship Hall at the First Baptist Church in Sweeny.
