Lee Andrew Paul

of Lake Jackson, TX

April 20, 1963 - August 21, 2022

A remembrance gathering for Lee Paul, age 59, of Lake Jackson, TX will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, August 30 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel. Family will receive friends at the chapel for a memorial celebration. Snacks will be served. The Pauls ask that guests wear their favorite concert t-shirt and jeans to the gathering on Tuesday.

Born on April 20, 1963, Lee grew up in quiet Oyster Creek with his mother, father, and siblings. He married his childhood love Angie Grimes in an intimate ceremony held in the Pauls' front yard when he was just 20 years old. His strong work ethic led him to take a job as maintenance personnel at Austin Industries as a young man, starting him on the path to becoming a senior operator at Shintech over the next 29 years.

Lee always worked tirelessly to provide everything his family could have wanted. He had a true zest for life, happily indulging in his interests, including his love of science fiction and fantasy, cultivating fresh tomatoes and peppers in the garden, fishing from his little boat in the bays, and learning to play guitar, among many others. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. In his retirement, he delved back into the hippie/rock music scene and quickly made some great friends, living out one of his dreams of touring with a band as a roadie. If one was to look at Lee Paul from one perspective, they would be seeing just one side of his multifaceted and colorful personality. He will be dearly missed by many.

The Paul family would like to thank everyone who supported us during this time.

Survivors include spouse Angie Paul, children Jason and Jennifer Paul, siblings Penney Weckerly and Phillip Paul, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as his familiar: his tabby cat Aku.

He is preceded in death by Lucia and Pat Paul.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA of Brazoria County in honor of Lee and his love of cats.
