James Arthur(Killing Time) Taylor, 66, of Oyster Creek passed away with his family at his side on March 20, 2011. He was born March 24, 1944 to Steve and Avis Taylor. He came to the area in 1969. He owned J .A. T. Trucking and the Moondragger Shrimp Boat.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his love Cathy Ann Taylor.
He is survived by his daughter Schotsie Marie Moulton of Henderson, Nevada,
3 grandchildren: Meghan Sharpe, Jesseca Sharpe, James Sharpe, of Oyster Creek,
4 great grandchildren: Maliree Saathoff, Jade Sharpe, Taylor Mikel, and Ayden Sanchez, of Oyster Creek,
2 brothers, Terrell Taylor and wife Paula, of Oyster Creek, Roger Taylor of Michigan,
2 sisters: Della Taylor of Missouri, Rose Marie Taylor of Missouri
2 nephews, David and Jill Taylor of Jones Creek, nephew, Troy Taylor of Freeport,
2 nieces, Elizabeth Martin of Arkansas, Hope Eaton, of Livingston, Texas,
4 great nephews: David Randall, Chanse James, Tyler, BrandonTaylor and 1 great niece, Rehiannon Omar.
The family will receive friends 6pm until 8pm Friday at Lakewood Chapel.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel.
Interment will follow at Gulf Prairie Cemetery in Jones Creek.
Pall bearers will be: James Sharpe, David, Randall, Chanse, Troy, and Brandon Taylor.
One of James's greatest enjoyments, and the pride and joy of his life was his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved taking joy rides with his family and fishing at his ranch in Matagorda.

I miss you and mom so very much..God be with you and keep you safe. You should see how cute all your grandbabies and greatgrandbabies are. We all miss u...love your daughter
