Maxie Don George of Churchill went to be with his Lord, December 5, 2022.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mattie Dell George and his brothers James Billy George and Scott George.
He is survived by his daughters Terri Roth and her husband Al, and Traci Dillingham. Granddaughter Carly Minshew and her husband James and Grandson Daniel Roth. Great Grandchildren, Terra and Asher Minshew.
He was born in Crossett, AR and moved to Houston, after being honorably discharged from the Air Force. He joined the Houston Police Department in 1960 and retired from HPD with the rank of Detective. After retiring, he spent much of his time hunting and fishing and passing down this knowledge to his grandchildren. He said these were some of his happiest memories, and theirs.
Dad is very much loved and will be sorely missed by all of us.
Memorial arrangements are pending.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude's Hospital; https://www.stjude.org

I'm sorry I didn't know Uncle Max died. Last time I saw him was when he was living in Lake Jackson, TX. I was in Pearland, TX. He cooked my little James and myself and I think it was Terri and her daughter BBQ from a smoker he made from an old Refrigerator. Smart man my uncle Max. I'm sorry you are gone but glad you are with you sweet brothers (Scott and my Dad, Jim),and of course Memaw and Pawpaw
