The youngest of two daughters, Margaret Ann was born in Austin, Texas to Fannie Margaret and James Edward Milligan. In 1957, her family moved to Lake Jackson where she and her sister Marilynn, began making lifelong friendships.
On November 1, 1969, Margaret married the love of her life, David Newton Dingee. Together they shared their lives and raised four children. Their marriage set an example of faith, unconditional love, and commitment for one another that built a strong family foundation for their children and grandchildren.
Margaret was a selfless, caring, Christian who never met a stranger. She was kind, giving, a loving mother, and a true friend. Most of all, BEAUTIFUL. She was a rare example of the kind of person the world needs more of.
Margaret loved being outdoors. She loved tending to all her beautiful plants and flowers. Having coffee every morning on the back porch with her love, and watching the wildlife was a pleasure. Margaret also loved spending time at the family beach house in Surfside, and at the Dingee Farm in East Texas. She was an exceptional cook and had a great eye for decorating. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved being Mimi and made it a point to attend all the kids' sporting events and school activities.
She will be fiercely missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Edward Milligan, and nephew, Kevin Ray Beam.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Dingee, and their four children, Aimee Dingee Davis and husband Duane, Cody Dingee and wife Monica, Wes Dingee and wife Jessica, and Kyle Dingee and wife Bri.
She is survived by her ten grandchildren, Tanner Davis, Carli Davis and fiancé Cole Burley, Cole Davis, Fischer Dingee and wife Hailee, Reese Dingee, Ada Dingee, Reef Dingee, Cress Dingee, Tate Dingee and Linc Dingee.
She is also survived by her mother, Fannie Margaret Milligan, sister and best friend, Marilynn Bowles and husband Jimmie, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 1, at 10:00 a.m. at Brazos Pointe Fellowship. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to:
