Monty Ray Belgrave of Lake Jackson, Texas went to be with the Lord and Savior on May 12, 2024. He was 68 years old.

Monty enjoyed the beach and loved to fish. He was a hard worker. Monty worked and served at Luby's for over 15 years. Over these years, he built friendships and community relationships with many people. Late in life, Monty began a relationship with Jesus and was excited to learn about God's grace, mercy, forgiveness, and His amazing love. Monty will be missed by many.

Monty is survived by his children; Jennifer Norman and husband Kyle of Hico, Texas, Joshua Belgrave of Midland, Texas and Michelle Ferguson and husband Jesse of Midland, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Bradon and Karson Norman and Kayson and Declan Ferguson.

A celebration of Monty's life will be Friday, May 31, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Church in Lake Jackson, Texas. A meal will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Bethel Church or to True to Life Ministries in Lake Jackson, Texas.

Monty was not only a co-worker of mine for over 11 years, but a friend. He had a caring and giving heart and he was loved by many. I will always remember his kindness. He was the true definition of a gentle man.
