JoAn Lynch passed in the early morning hours of Mother's Day, May eighth, 2011 after a battle with lung cancer, surrounded by her immediate family. A resident of the Brazosport area since 1975, she was a retired office professional from Dow Chemical and retired volunteer fro Varner Hogg, the Sea Center and R.S.V.P. and a consensus "Top Grandma of the Universe".
She leaves her memories to her two children, Robert Lynch and wife Sally of Sweeny and Linda Ayers and husband Russell of Spring; five grandchildren, Allison Ayers, Jennifer Ayers and Christine Ayers of Houston, Amy Lynch of Spring and Michael Lynch of San Antonio; two brothers R. B. Harris and wife Patti of Ardmore, OK and Tom Harris and wife Jeany of Cushing, OK and numerous nieces. She is preceded in memories of her loving husband, Bob; parents Ralph and Thelma Harris of Cushing, OK and brother Jim Harris of Washington state.
A casual celebration of her life, really for those she leaves behind, will be led by Nathan Burrows of the Sweeny Church of Christ, at Lakewood Chapel, 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, in Clute, TX. A reception will follow at the Lakewood Chapel from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
The family would like to thank the IPH Hospice front line caretakers for their loving care and devotion to our mother. The family would request any outward expressions of sorrow and condolences with respect to flowers be directed to IPH Hospice.
Final arrangements by the Turner family at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel.

I am sorry I was unable to go to her services. She was a very special person and will always hold a special place in my heart. She is not suffering anymore and is happy with her husband with Jesus. Thank you for being so kind to me and allowing me to take care of your mother. You will always be in my thought and prayers. Love yall, Susie

I worked with JoAn for 10 years at Sea Center when she volunteered in the Gift Shop and in many other capacities. She was such a pleasure to know. My prayers are with your family.
