Mary Kathleen McGrath (67) of Lake Jackson, Texas passed away at home in Jones Creek, Texas on August 19, 2024.
She was born in Freeport, Texas on February 1, 1957 daughter of the late George and Mary Jane (Giddings) McGrath.
Kathleen grew up in Lake Jackson and after high school graduation attended the University of Texas in Austin, Texas studying psychology. She changed majors and switch to study nursing at UTMB, graduating with a RN degree. Kathleen had a long career as a RN at Herman hospital and later as in home nursing for critically ill children while residing in Houston, Texas. She never married and for the last 15 years has resided with her brother Patrick McGrath in and around the Lake Jackson area.
Her ashes will be buried in a private family ceremony.
Surviving are her brothers; Patrick and John McGrath, her nieces; Christa (McGrath) Alber and Rachel McGrath, her nephews; Ben and Stephen McGrath, and grand niece; Sienna McGrath.
