The Spirit of my Life

Paulette Williams, born on August 21, 1946, in Guymon, Oklahoma, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love and creativity. As the daughter of a dedicated Navy man, her early years were spent in diverse locations such as Guam and Panama before settling in Beeville, Texas, where she completed her high school education.

In 1967, Paulette married John Williams, and together they embarked on a journey that took them to various cities including Scranton, Miami, Grand Rapids, Midland, and Indianapolis, before finally making Lake Jackson, Texas, their home for over 40 years. Paulette was known for her vibrant personality and her passion for arts and crafts, particularly painting, stained glass, and gardening. Her husband fondly described her as ''crafty''.

Paulette was a devoted wife to John Williams, with whom she shared 57 wonderful years. Together, they raised two sons, John and Todd, who, along with their spouses and Paulette's beloved grandson, Cole, survive her.

Paulette had a passion for doll collecting and repair, which she pursued with her dear friend Andrea at the doll hospital and orphanage. She was an active member of the Brazoria County Doll Club and the National Federation of Doll Clubs, attending numerous annual meetings across the country.

Her warmth and generosity extended beyond her immediate family, as she cherished friendships across the USA, Europe, and Russia. Paulette is also survived by her siblings, Sharron and Debbie, and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. She was predeceased by her brother, Roy Paul.

In lieu of flowers, Paulette requested donations be made to a charity of your choice or to the SPCA, Interfaith Food Bank, or The Salvation Army, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping others.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate nurses from IPH and the Lakewood Funeral Home for their support. Special thanks are also given to Brazos Pointe Fellowship for their kindness and hospitality.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, at 1:00 p.m. at Brazos Pointe Fellowship, 679 TX-332 West, Lake Jackson, TX 77566. Inurnment will take place at a later date with a small family gathering at Restwood Memorial Park.

Paulette will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

So many delightful memories with my dear friend. Going to miss you but know we'll meet again on the other side. We'll share a drink of coffee and enjoy what heaven has to offer. Save me a spot ….
