Dalaine Sue Wesley Pittman was born September 5, 1955, in Texas City, Texas, to Donal Wayne and Dorothy Sue Hill Wesley. She passed away February 2, 2025, in Lake Jackson, Texas.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Brent; her children, Thomas Andrew, Teresa Christine and husband David Tep, and Travis Dwayne and wife Morgan Pittman; mother Dorothy Wesley; sister Denise Renee Briley; grandchildren, Bailey Elizabeth, Kaitlyn Grace, Braedan Wesley, Bennett Alexander, and Hannah Mae; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donal Wesley (Pawpaw)
Dalaine retired in May of 2024, after 25 years as a teacher in Angleton ISD. She taught on several campuses, starting at Frontier Elementary, Angleton Middle School, and Angleton Junior High School. During those years, she taught Reading, Math, Science, and Special Education.
Dalaine was a multitalented person, and gifted. Throughout her life she enjoyed woodworking, painting, crafts and MUSIC.
She was a member of Jones Creek Baptist Church, where she loved to serve by playing the piano. Dalaine had served her church in many different capacities throughout her life. She has served as church pianist, Sunday School teacher, nursery worker, youth director. For the last several years, in addition to being the church pianist, she was also the ''flower lady,'' where she could exercise her talents in crafts and decorating. This talent was especially seen during the Christmas season, with her beautiful wreaths, garlands, and lights.
Dalaine's family would like to express their sincere gratitude for all the prayers and other expressions of support during this difficult time. We also want to say a special thanks to the West Brazos EMS, the Jones Creek Marshal's Department, the Jones Creek VFD, the ER team at CHI. St. Luke's Brazosport, the ICU team at CHI St. Luke's Sugar Land, Unity Hospice, and Oak Village Nursing Home. Thank you for all you did for Dalaine and us during her illness. Lastly, but far from least, we want to say thank you to our church family at Jones Creek Baptist Church, as well as so many from other churches in our area and from previous ministry positions.

Dalaine and I were classmates in the first grade, and we didn't meet up again until we had classes together and graduated from Texas City High School. She was a very nice person, and I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My condolences to her family.

Dalaine was one of a kind.
Funny, sweet, loveable, so very talented!
I keep hearing that little toon she would play at the end of every service.
She was a huge help in decorating for Jim & my wedding.
What a blessing she was to so many, she always told me, I can't wait to be with Jesus.
Well, I know she is free of pain and suffering and now with Jesus.
Prayers for you all, to remember Dalaine the way she would want you to think of her. Happy and that beautiful smile she had. Love you all.
